After attending nature summer camps in my hometown as a child, I quickly became passionate about our natural world and all of its critters. I'm a fourth-year Computational Biology major pursuing a Bridging Disciplines Program certificate in Museum Studies. My prior research experience at UT focused on improving genetically engineered Caffeinated Coli, which are biosensors that can be used to measure caffeine concentrations in both commercial products and waste water. Through my research in the Microbe Hackers stream, I discovered my passion for computational biology, and I am currently interested in attending grad school to study biotechnology. This semester, I'm really excited to be combining my interests in natural history and computational biology by helping David characterize Phrynosomatids of the southwestern United States!
